Tanouchert remains this truly beautiful palm grove in the East of the Adrar At T'mar, encroached upon by the sands of the Warane erg.   
During this date harvest festival, it bustles with activity, tradition remains deeply alive, and I find myself rediscovering it as I first discovered it 18 years ago. Nothing has truly changed, nothing has evolved; it lives as it has for centuries past. Timeless.  

Myriads of children run in all directions, around young and older women in an atmosphere of serenity, outside of time. Here, no television, no electricity, mobile phones don't get a signal either; the life of the palm grove is rhythmed by the sun's revolution across the sky.
